Faith Journey: I came to know the Lord one Saturday afternoon in 1975 when a lady from a local church in Greenville NC witnessed to me in such a way that I could no longer deny my need for a personal relationship with Christ. In the forty years since then, I have experienced Jesus walking with me every step of the way, every day of my life.
In my career as a vocal music teacher/choral director I’ve had many wonderful experiences, but none more rewarding than my work with the Choir at First Presbyterian.
We enjoy great fellowship as we prepare music for worship with the Holy Spirit’s leading in our part of the music ministry.
I’ve have been blessed to be a part of the Coulee Region Gospel Choir as both director and accompanist for the last six years and enjoy accompanying for the Holmen High School and Middle School Choirs throughout the school year.
My background includes a BA in music from the University of Richmond, VA, a MM in vocal performance from East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, and over fifty years of teaching in public schools and colleges. Although “retired”, I currently maintain a vocal studio and substitute teach in Holmen, WI.
Hobbies include gardening and baking; skills which I have had the privilege of sharing frequently with our church family.
My bucket list would be complete if one of my former high school students makes it to the Metropolitan Opera.
